Demachi Yanagi Meeting Point
Abbey Road? — No, this is where the Kamo River meets with the Takano River, which is unseen in this picture but flows along the right side of the river bank. The two rivers intersect at a 50-degrees angle creating a triangular-shaped piece of land, which is known to Kyotoites as the "delta.". Stepping stones connect this "delta" to both sides of the river, some of which are in the shape of unique-looking turtles.
